As per IGBC Green New Building Rating system version 3.0,, VYARA paving and other products can contribute to Green Building points under various headings such as Heat island reduction (roof and non-roof), Rainwater harvesting, Use of Sustainable building materials, Use of Certified Green Building materials, Innovation in the design process and Optimisation in structural design and others.
Solar Energy
100% solar power installation (1270kW) has been carried out at our factories for our connected load, ensuring high renewable energy usage, lower dependence on coal-based thermal energy, and saving approximately 1.65 million kgs of CO2 annually.
UNCARBON
Initiatives like the UNCARBON range of products allow the production of cement-free blocks using Geo-polymers based on sodium silicate and GGBS-based binders, reducing the carbon footprint by ~70% and saving thousands of tons of CO2 annually.
Recycled Material (SCMs)
VYARA actively uses recycled materials, including post-industrial waste SCMs like Pulverized Fly Ash (PFA) and Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS). This helps us cut down our Cement usage by up to 50% and helps cut down CO2 emissions by 20 million kgs annually.
Our high-quality products have a longer life and are reusable, so have lower life cycle costs.
Water Recycling
100% water recycling at our plants, maintaining a zero-effluent discharge policy.
Raw Material Selection
- Replacing natural river sand with manufactured sand and waste quarry sand, saving 40 million kgs of sand resources per year
- Typically over 99% of the material that comes inside our factories is used and recycled- to ensure minimum wastage and reducing unnecessary resource usage.
Curing Systems
Our curing systems are organised in a manner that almost no additional curing water is used while ensuring excellent curing.
